About Ethiopian Opal
The
opal in Ethiopia has been discovered several years ago.
The first mine
in Mezezo area was producing only brown material in nuts.
Very
nice to see but also not stable. This mine is presently closed.
During
year 2008 the new material from Wollo was discovered.
This new area is
giving nicer material, stable, and available in a large range of
colors (white, blue, yellow, pink, red, brown green and so on).
The origin of the opal is volcanic.
